Lakeytha Clayton,MD
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Lakeytha is a licensed clinical social worker in Texas and Louisiana with 20 + years of experience in the field. She received her undergraduate degree from Northwest State University and her graduate degree from Louisiana State University. She specializes in anxiety, career counseling, coping skills, depression, life transition, relationship issues, self-esteem, spirituality, stress, and women’s issues. Her treatment preferences are acceptance and commitment (ACT), Christian counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, integrative, interpersonal, solution-focused brief (SFBT), and strength-based. Her passion is working with women to help them identify obstacles to their mental and emotional well-being and issues they may feel has been and continues to "hold her hostage" in their own life (such as anxiety, depression, adjusting to life transitions, etc.) thus interfering with her day to day functioning. One of her desires as a therapist is to see the client transform into the best version of herself according to her standards, not the standards of society! As a therapist, she will help you to learn to embrace who you are, celebrating and building on your strengths and uniqueness, and hopefully, simultaneously giving the client a fresh perspective on her life despite the obstacles and challenges she may face.
